If you're looking for childcare in Hornsey, Destiny Haven is just a short trip away on Clarendon Road in N8, within easy reach of Turnpike Lane and Alexandra Palace. Why families choose us

Our approach

What makes Destiny Haven different is the way our team gets to know your child as an individual. Your child will have a key person who truly understands them, and you'll be part of that relationship from day one. We're rooted in Christian values, but we welcome families of every faith and background. The relationship between you, your child, and us is what drives everything we do.

In practice

We're rated Good by Ofsted, and we accept both 15 and 30 hours of government funding. Our settling approach is unhurried: if your child needs more time to feel genuinely happy and secure, we extend the programme at no extra cost. You'll get daily observations via the Famly app, termly progress reports, and an open door to chat anytime. Our team is led by a Qualified Early Years Teacher with experience and continuity that families really notice.

For families in Hornsey

Hornsey parents often appreciate that we're close enough for a straightforward commute but part of a real North London community rather than a chain. Families from round here tend to value the kind of nursery where their child is known by name, where settling happens at their pace, and where staff stick around. That's what we offer.

What our families say

Real feedback from parents who have trusted us with their children's early years.

  • Our son has been at Destiny Haven for 2.5 years (has been attending since he was 1 year and will go until he goes to school). Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staffing has been consistent since he joined, with responsive key workers who meet us regularly throughout the year for updates.

  • A beautiful, caring environment where children truly feel safe, supported, and loved. From the outside the building may not look particularly impressive, but once you step inside it is a completely different story – warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up for the children.

    Susanna R.
  • Our son has been attending Destiny Haven for almost three years and he absolutely loves it! He has made great friends, he learns quite a lot and the staff are so welcoming and kind. They regularly keep in touch with us to provide information on how he is progressing and they also have days where parents can come to the nursery and see what the children do during their day. Would highly recommend this nursery to any parents with young children!
