Baby Childcare in Haringey

Babies Room

Overview

From three months to eighteen months, so much happens beneath the surface. A baby who arrives barely lifting their head will, within a year, be pulling themselves up on furniture and trying out their first words. Our Babies Room is built around that pace of change, with a 1:3 ratio so each child has a genuine amount of adult attention rather than a share of it. That ratio is what makes secure attachment possible, and attachment to a consistent key person is really the foundation everything else at this age is built on, from confidence to explore, to feeling safe enough to babble and communicate.

A Typical Day

Days here are unhurried and shaped around each baby rather than a fixed timetable. Our baby suite gives infants their own calm, safe space separate from older children, with room for tummy time, floor-based movement, and the kind of close, responsive care that very young children need. We take babies outside every day, weather allowing, even if that just means fresh air in the pram or a blanket on the grass, because time outdoors matters for every age, not just the ones who can run around in it.

Care & Development

Communication is woven into ordinary moments rather than taught as a separate activity: narrating nappy changes, responding to babbling as though it were conversation, singing during play. As children move toward their first birthday and beyond, our EYFS curriculum and specialist language support through programmes like Wellcomm begin to take a more active shape, building on those early foundations laid down through everyday interaction. Meals are freshly cooked on site, which matters enormously at an age when taste, texture, and feeding routines are still being established.

Why Families Choose Us

We were founded on the belief that every child deserves to be truly known, and in a baby room that is not a slogan, it is the whole job. Parents are kept close through the Famly app, with notes on feeds, naps, and small milestones shared through the day, so you are never wondering what your baby's morning looked like while you were apart.
