Frequently asked questions
Everything parents ask us before and after visiting Destiny Haven Nursery.
common questions
We combine Christian values with quality early years education, delivered by a team led by a Qualified Early Years Teacher. Our specialist LEEP language programme and Wellcomm support help children build strong communication skills from the start. With fresh meals prepared daily on site, a Creative Arts Studio, forest school sessions, and a well-stocked library, we give children the tools to explore, grow, and thrive.
We have two sites across North London. Our Noel Park nursery is at 32 Clarendon Road, N8 0DJ. Our Tottenham site is at St. Benet Fink Church Hall, Walpole Road, N17 6BH. We welcome families from across Haringey and the surrounding areas.
We care for children from 3 months to 12 years, supporting their development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and beyond with our after school and holiday club provision.
Yes, we accept both 15 and 30 hour government funded childcare places, depending on your eligibility. We are happy to guide you through the process and show you how funding can work with your chosen sessions.
Our fees vary depending on the sessions you choose. Please visit our Fees and Funding page or get in touch directly to discuss pricing and availability.
You can book a tour through our website or contact us by phone on 07717 666 788 or email at info@destinyhavenchildcare.uk to arrange a visit to either of our North London sites.
Both our settings are rated Good. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in 2024 noted that leaders and staff create a happy and safe environment. We are proud of our qualified, experienced team and our strong commitment to safeguarding.
Availability changes throughout the year across our Noel Park and Tottenham sites. The best way to check is to get in touch, and we will talk you through current and upcoming spaces.
child experience
We take a gentle, child-led approach to settling in. Children start with shorter sessions, building up gradually as they grow more comfortable and confident. Our experienced team works closely with parents to ensure every child feels safe, secure, and ready to explore at their own pace.
We use a one-stop parent app to share your child's learning journey, daily care diary, and fees all in one place. You will receive progress reports, daily feedback, and regular consultation meetings, plus we share home reading and learning activities to keep you involved.
We follow the EYFS framework, with learning led by a Qualified Early Years Teacher. Our LEEP language programme and Wellcomm support strengthen communication skills, while child-led play and adult-supported activities nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
daily life
Children enjoy a balance of child-led free play, communication-enhancing group sessions, and adult-led focus activities. The day includes outdoor play, creative arts, phonics, story time, and calm spaces for rest. Forest school sessions, trips, and special activity days add variety and adventure.
Yes, children enjoy daily outdoor play in our secure outdoor area with a nature garden. We also offer regular forest school sessions and outdoor trips to extend their learning beyond the nursery.
We prepare fresh, nutritious meals on site daily. Breakfast club is available from 7:30am, and all children receive healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.
practical
Please bring a named coat, a water bottle, spare clothes, and any comfort items your child needs. If your child wears nappies, please provide nappies and wipes.
